Key identification features

A large gazelle with an extremely long neck, a dark brown back, light brown sides and white belly. Only the males have horns. HB 140-160 cm. Wt 28-50 kg.

Habitat and social behaviour

Found in small family groups in arid bushland.

Similar species

Has a similar colour pattern to an impala, but easily identified by its long neck and legs.
